What Are The Instruments I Can Choose From?
During the first few weeks of school, all Beginning Band students will be able to try out the different band instruments to see which one is right for them. Students learn about the different instruments in class before selecting their top three choices. Students are then allowed to test out the instruments to see which one is the best fit for them before selecting an instrument. Students can choose from the instruments listed below. Flute
Oboe
Bassoon
Clarinet
Saxophone
Trumpet
French Horn
Trombone
Baritone
Tuba
Percussion
Students who choose to play percussion will learn to play all of the instruments in the percussion family. Students start out by learning how to play the bells and the snare drum before learning how to play the other instruments such as the bass drum, cymbals, timpani, triangle, gong, and many others.
